Early in development I decided to make the progressive steps of the movie symbolic of the journey people take throughout life. The shotgun blasting through the window represented leaving home and going out into the world.

The first version of the film had a voice over but I determined it was a bit too pretentious and went for a much simpler story. The symbolism is still there but now it isn’t as obvious.
